Look up any dog books, most of them have breed classfications. Go for those which specialise on the type of dogs, not the medical conditions.

You can only speculate. If you don't know the dogs lineage, you can give your best guess, but thats all you have. Their are no DNA tests or any other tests to determine breeds.

couple ways really, you can try to search the net for pics of a dog that looks like yours, go to AKC.com & chck out all the registered pure breds, go to the library and check out the dog breed books, take the dog to a vet they will be able to tell you for sure & if its a mix they will be able to tell you pretty acuratly what kind of mix it is and lastly you could put a link to a pic of the dog on here & get peoples opinions from on here.....GOOD LUCK!

go to a veternarian and ask. or go to a animal shelter and get a chart. on the chart it will describe the dog's charcteristics and a picture. look for similarites and compare them to different dogs

Sit down with him and ask him. Most dogs don't like to tell right away, so you have to get him to open up to you.
