I know someone who has an older dog and she doesn't want him anymore. I don't want him to be put to sleep because he is old or anything. So please list any no kill shelters in Cleveland Ohio

Here is a list of Cleveland's shelters.. You can go to their websites from this list, or call to see who has openings. > http://www.petfinder.com/pet.cgi?action=5

I see several that would be most likely..such as the..Santuary For Senior Dogs..

The one I found for Cleveland is :

Cleveland Animal Protective League
1729 Willey Ave., Cleveland
(216) 771-4616

This site has other shelters in Cleveland and nearby areas :

'No-kill' shelters often just send the unadoptable dogs to kill shelters. If you want him to live, keep him yourself or find a home. How someone can get rid of an old dog like that is beyond me.

The Cleveland APL is probably your best bet, but be careful, they will euthanize "unadoptable" animals. They will however give you a chance to take your animal back if he/she is deemed to be "unadoptable."
