My daughter is 17 mths old right now , and she has drenched pillows with sweat since she was born .. I mentioned it to her pediatrician and she said its totally normal .. She didnt care to explain WHY they do sweat so much , but she said just cover her in less layers of blankies at night .

I always chalked it up to be due to the parasympathetic system taking over while we sleep. My kids do this also. I mean sweat a bucket. I know kids grow and cellular repair is done during sleep so perhaps a lot is going on in these little kiddo factories.

They're fighting off the problems of the day in their dreams. Yes, tots do have many hard times owing to the world we live in. We live in a stressful world and the parents feel this and some of it is passed on to the children, however much the parents may try to protect them. (And we all know that some parents don't protect their children!)
