Its of this nude or partially nude girl reclining on this bed of brightly colored fabrics. The color is rich and vibrant and I believe the girl is wearing a pair of shoes. The girl is very petite and pretty though. Im sorry I cant give you many details, the image is vivid in my mind but I forgot who the artist and the name of the painting. I have searched everywhere on the internet and i have had ZERO luck. This is my last resort...maybe someone knows what Im talking about. Btw, I think the painting was made in the Renaissance era...or maybe even in the 17th or 18th century. Its definitely NOT impression or modern. Any help or suggestions would be nice.

To me what you describe is reminiscent of Manet's "Olympia", especially because of the shoes. But you seem to think it is earlier and not impressionist. In that case, it seems a little like Titian.

Note that Manet's Olympia was considered outrageous, not just because the model was a prostitute, but because he painted her as herself, and not as a historical figure or goddess (if you compare the earlier paintings by Titian and Reubens, you'll see that the nudes are always titled as some legendary or mythic person)

Well the first thing came into my mind is Olympia, but if its not impressionism, then my next guess would be Goya's Nude Maja. Velazquez's Venus at her mirror is also a potential. It's probably not from the Rococo period, because not many nude painting was done.

Wait, Does " The Grand Odalisque" by Ingres ring the bell? It's of a woman with her back turned toward us and holding some peacock feather thing while on green, maron, and white fabric. I think that's it.

This could be a number of differnet works. Are there any images in the background of the picture?
