First off: Are you miserable because you don't want to be there? Or because something unpleasent has happened to you.
I don't know the whole story, but if there's no more to this, then you shouldn't take your mother the wrong way. Even though she might be wrong in forcing something on you, she's surely doing it because she thinks it will make life better for you. ESPECIALLY IF YOU NEVER SHOWED ANY INICIATIVE TO MAKE SOMETHING OUT OF YOUR LIFE.
If this is true, then I advice you to stick with it, because at least then you'll have a degree.
If you however have SERIOUS PLANS ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT TO DO WITH YOUR LIFE and if that college degree is not necessary for it, you should try to make a good plan and SELL TO YOUR MOTHER YOUR IDEAS AND YOUR PLANS FOR LIFE whatever they'd be. She'll probably go for it, if it's something possitive. (LET HER SEE THAT YOU ARE A MATURE, RESPONSIBLE PERSON AND THAT YOU HAVE A VERY CLEAR IDEA ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT TO DO)
If this doesn't work, than I think it is justified that you make your point clear by disobeying or finding a way to support yourself and leaving her out of your plans.

I'm sorry to hear of your (miserable) experience in college. Do you know why your mom forced you to attend this college? Is it where she attended? If you have the chance to discuss this issue with your mom, perhaps she will reveal her reason(s). In the meantime, you may want to talk to a counselor or therapist; someone who can just listen and when asked, can help you with this. I also hope you can get involved with an activity which you enjoy to keep your mind off of the reason and instead enjoy what this college has to offer. Maybe if you can complete all your general requirements, you can transfer to another college; one of your choice instead. I wish you the best of luck and I hope you can enjoy your years in college.

Wait 3 months. Life will get better. Why are you miserable? Do you ever reach out to others, or do you wait for them to come to you? Think about ways to have fun & enjoy the experience. If you have tried all that & are still miserable, then speak to a counselor at college & see what your options are. Have fun!

Apply to the college of your choice, secretly,, and on acceptance arraign with the financial dept all the particulars you need to move over and get started, then, once it is a go, tell your mother what your going to do, and ask for her assistance in whatever things you can't do yourself. At first she might be mad at first but I'll bet the next day she'll appreciate your work to solve the problem.

Part of being an adult is learning to stand up to your parents and show them you are grown. If you really truly can't stand it. Then transfer and if your parents cut you off financially then get scholarships and a job. Thats part of the college experience is learning to be grown and make your own decisions. Remember its your life not your parents anymore. You should decide its direction. After all your left with the results. but do all this respectfully.

Find the least desirable man on campus or at the nearest Biker Bar and get knocked up. That will make your mother realize what a dumbass she was for forcing you to go where you were unhappy.

If you are old enough to go to college you are old enough to make your own decisions, your mother only forced you to go there because you let her.stand up for yourself, do what makes you happy.

try to make the best of it. talk to people and make friends. you will probably find at least one other person who is in your situation. maybe you can plan to go to another school together. have you tried talking to your mother? does she know how you really feel? i can't imagine a mother making her child do something that makes her miserable.

If you're not paying for it, get over it. Just be happy you're getting an education. While there have fun, and try to make some friends.
