Make appointments with stylist for consultations. Ask if they charge. Have a few magazine pics for exact color you are looking for...but, stay open for suggestions,as your skin tone and eye color might reveal something else as far as color. Your eyebrows have nothing to do with what color will look good on you. It's your skin tone and eye color that reveals that. If a stylist doesn't look at those things thing cut the consultation short. Find someone who knows these things. And of course that you like and are on the same page.

Try going to a beauty school to save money. Ask for a sylist that has 1200 hours or more in training. If they have that many hours you are in good hands. You won't have to worry and a teacher does oversee and help the stylist in everything and deciding what color and type of highlights. Usually you don't want to go more than 2 shades lighter than your natural haircolor. Also there are two types of highlights. Chunky and more natural. Chunky will be wide noticable streaks of color as natural will be less noticible with more small strands of color. Also, go with a partial weave which is just the top middle and back of your head. You won't notice if you keep your hair down most of the time. Also, trust a stylist a little to do what they think will look best for your hair. I am a stylist.

i would do honey highlights. and you can save allot of money if you ask for a partial highlight, (the top half of your head) it looks more natural just on top. you can also save money by not getting it cut most of the time they take the price of the cut off. but call and ask around first. good luck

You should take the time to look for a good colorist; any hairdresser can/will color your hair, but a colorist specializes in coloring hair.
