Let say i got this sentence to type in excel " i am a boy". how do i make it into

I
am
a
boy

in 1 column.

If in microsoft word's table i would just have to press "enter". How about in excel??

press "alt" and "enter" at the same time.

You can just type one word on top of each other in one cell going down or you can merge those four cells and then right click-format cells-alignment-and then what ever you want from here if you wrap the text it will do it just as you explain depending on how wide the columns are.

You know, I think pressing enter would do it here also. There's also just typing a word in a cell, then clicking the next cell down and typing the next word.

Just adjust the size of the column to be really narrow.

Or you can insert a text box and adjust the size of the text box.

You could wrap the cells (it's in format cells)
and it would make it once cell you could then adjust the width to your liking.
