yes I agree that the bible is refutable, but if I didn't say ...besides the bible then most people would have answered...read the bible. I want proof besides what a bible says. If bibles are to be believed.
some folks believe bibles, well I suppose anywhere from 100% to 0%
My bible belief falls at about the 20% range off the top of my head without thinking much about it. Well maybe less, but I think it is entertaining for the most part. Bible study too.question and answer=entertaining
for many reasons

yes I mean actualy existed...
I can make up my own mind about what his life consisted of.
When I was younger I would always think of jesus as myth, then well I guess maybe 15 years ago I started to believe that he actualy exsisted, and now I'm just looking to find out some proof.

He existed as Y'shua bar Yoseph. It was Paul who deified him so that he could sell him to the Greeks and Romans, and then Constantine who codified the Pauline mythology. Looking at the answers you got, I sometimes wounder if these people know what they are talking about. Based on what I see in other places, I wounder if they ever read any of his teachings. Oh well. Bottom line is that he was a good man and a decent Rabbi (he taught much the same line of thinking as Hillel of the previous generation), but had some issues with the Romans (of course, what Jew didn't?).

If one accepts Flavius Josephus' book of Antiquities that he wrote for the Roman government and the various Roman texts that mention him, then yes, there would be evidence the he existed, nothing more.

Well..The bible was written for us to read and believe but here are some other proofs (:

Pastor:Jesus rose from the dead..
Kid: Thats not true! He's followers STOLE he's body!
Pastor:Haw can they steal he's body with guards guarding the Tomb?

another one...

Pastor:Jesus rose from the dead..
Kid: Not true! he escaped!!
Pastor: How can he escape with a HUGH stone blocking the door? and with guards?

Yup..So you see, The bible is true!! we don't need anymore evidence (:

there are different levels of knowing. The easiest example is with using fire. First level somebody told you about fire, second level you actually see fire and understand the chemical reaction, third level you get burned then you know fire. Here is the thing I know Jesus 3rd level and it is possible for you to, i think, as well and until you stick your hand in there you are always gonna be figuring out formuals and looking around and never really know. There are believers and then there are knowers

There's a non-christian guy who recorded a great deal of events. I think his name was Josephus. I don't know if that's the right spelling, it's pronounced Joe-c-fus.

There is more evidence that Jesus was a historical person than there is that Shakespeare, Caesar, or Napoleon exsisted. Anyone who says other wise is not being intellectually honest.

That he existed, perhaps, but not that he ever really preformed any miracles or was the son of a god. There were lots of holy men around in his time just like him, who could supposedly do miraculous things and gained followers. Jesus just got lucky.
