And don't hand me that protecting marriage crap either. If you want to save marriage, ban divorce!

During my last post Christians complained I was judging them by the actions of a few. Or they claimed that ‘those people’ are not true Christians--funny that's not how ‘those people’ tell it. Yet, Christians pass judgment on gays, Muslims and Jews, etc ad nausem all the time.

The only difference is when someone gay does something stupid...they are ridiculed by they gay community. Religious people greet stupidity with silent approval and allow it to continue in their name.

So if I’m not supposed to judge you on the actions of a few and we really do have freedom of religion, what makes it okay for you to do it to me or an entire community? Why do you feel so righteous when you vote away potential privileges for others?

Never voted against gay marriage and never would. Not my place to judge. People should worry about their own problems before they start trying to run other people's lifes.

I didn't vote against gay marriage in my state. I think that if a person is a taxpaying citizen, the government should recognize their union as legally binding, regardless of their partner's gender. It hurts no one, and telling people they can't live how they want is not the American way. I realize that I live in a democratic republic, and that freedom is a two way street. If I try to restrict someone from doing something because I don't like it, it won't be long before someone has a problem with what I do.

I'm just now old enough to vote so I'll give my brief opinion on the subject. As a Christian individual, I try not to judge others. But truth is, everyone is guilty of it at some time or another. I have gay friends and I still voted against it simply because I do not support the lifestyle. But that doesn't mean I treat them with disrespect in the least. We understand eachother and we agree to disagree. end of story.

It seems to me, you have passed your own judgment.

I must ask...who died and made you God?

Marriage is a "religious" institution. It is done before God and man. Why would anyone that lives the homosexual lifestyle who have not been welcomed into any "religion," want to take part in a "religious" institution?

Marriage is between one man and one woman. Go to Genesis read the first three chapters...and this explains not only the "religious" part but the man and woman part.

Marriage is holy and sacred, well...it used to be, anyway.

Before you label me as anything...understand this...

I have been commanded by God to love everyone as Jesus has loved me. . . so I do. I don't have a bone to pick with someone that lives the homosexual lifestyle. What they choose to do in their bedroom is their business. They will be judged along with the rest of us for how we chose to live our lives.

God loves everyone...sinners included! Just because you are attracted to someone of the same sex doesn't mean you "have" to act on it. It's a choice. Sin is a choice. God loves you and sin, any sin is an abomination!

Now, anyone can have a power of attorney and living will...so, don't give me some whining story about...what if...

I know this won't be a popular answer...but the truth rarely is...

May everyone find the grace of the living God and His Son, Jesus.

I even have found out in existence that in case you do not say something or communicate out even slightly, and shop your mouth close, that fairly lots skill you're for something. human beings assume you compromise. i like gay human beings and function gay buddies. yet.... you're good they're going to shop sinning no be counted if we make the marriage criminal or not. yet there comes a time once you basically could say, i don't agree. the subject with regard to the marriage is they get reward. They get to declare one yet another as a husband and spouse might. otherwise, they're in basic terms 2 human beings residing mutually. they like to be known with the help of society as a criminal couple, so it is not possibly with regard to the intercourse according to se.

BOO-WHO I think your forgetting that everyone is racists and prejudice. You must have this built -up idea that Christians/Muslims/catholics/Mormons/People/etc... are blameless. They are just like anyone else. How can you judge anyone by the actions of a few? The answer, YOUR HUMAN!!! People want to say that all the time, "How can you judge them, you don't even know them?." Because they're human, that's what they do. They give themselves that right, so get over it and go on living because unless your prepared to do something about it your wasting your own time.

God is NOT political. Since you brought Him into your question. "People" are political, and often make judgments based on religious misconceptions. Not always the righteous thing to do. Religion and politics is the ultimate war.

I would say that "personal belief" more so plays a factor in why public opinion denounces the Gay lifestyle. People tend to attempt to back their beliefs with religion rather than reason.

I see you favor the "when did you stop hitting your children" question. A thought might be to ask a question instead of a rhetorical one which is in a sense what you are doing. Maybe it has nothing to do with judging at all. Maybe it has to do with natural law....hmm theres a thought.

because i have small children that doesn't need to see all that, i don't like it , i think its wrong, and i shouldn't have to explain to my children about it before i am ready to tell them and before they are ready to hear it,my 6 yr old has already been exposed to it and i wasn't ready to tell her so i told them they were wrong for kissing in front of her and they were going against God doing that and now i have a child that automatically hates Gays so if thats what they want is more Gay haters then so be it
