If he sneezes more then usual it sounds like an upper respitory infection. You might want to take him to a vet.

This sounds like your cat could possibly have a upper respitory virus (Feline viral rhinotracheitis) FVR Initial symptoms of FVR include coughing, sneezing, nasal discharge, conjunctivitis, and sometimes fever and loss of appetite. The symptoms usually resolve within four to seven days, but secondary bacterial infections can cause persistence of symptoms for weeks. Antibiotics are used to prevent secondary bacterial infections. There are no specific antiviral drugs in common use at this time for FVR. More severe cases may require supportive care such as intravenous fluid therapy, oxygen therapy, or even a feeding tube. Conjunctivitis and corneal ulcers are treated with topical antibiotics for secondary bacterial infection. L-lysine has been recommended anecdotally to suppress viral replication. Take your cat to the Vet and he can tell you whats wrong with your poor kitty. It is possible that it's just a cold but if it is thick creamy mucus chances are that its not. Better to be safe than sorry.

The cat I just rescued has puss likemucus coming from his eyes and some from his nose my vet said that was a sign of a respiratory infection in a cat sort of like a cold for us. He gave me an antibiotic for it. I would definitely talk to your vet you wouldn't want your cat developing pneumonia.

your cat need to go to the vet or it will eventually die. It's a sickness that usually farm cats get, and eventually it covers up the whole face and suffocates the poor animal. If you live on a farm with cows I was told you can use left over medicine that they use at branding time.

Sounds like cat flu. It is highly contagious and can be spread from cat to cat via your clothes/hands, etc Could also be distemper.
Both can also be fatal if not treated. Please take your cat to the vet asap.

Many cats have an allergy to fish. Try feeding it other food flavours and see if this offers an improvement.
