so there is this girl in my AP history class and Honors math class. she is basically perfect: beautiful, blonde, smart, and fun to be around. I didnt know her until this year and i introduced myself and asked if she wanted to hang out sometime and she said yeah. so i went to her house about 2 weeks ago and we had a good time talking but nothing romantic happened. but we have been calling each other for the past week helping each other out with math and history. i really do like her and i know i would be happy to be more than just friends with her. i dont know if i should ask her to homecoming and risk our friendship and a good study partner. thoughts?

Definately go for it. I hate it when guys think too much about these sort of things. Plus, If she looks a little freaked (make sure it's a what are you crazy freak and not just a surprised freak, that could be a good thing) you can always say "you know, as friends", but if she smiles, stick with the idea of a date.

Taking her out to homecoming does not necessarily mean that you are inducing a deeper relationship. TAKE HER TO THE FUNCTION! If nothing else, just as friends. Tell her that in those words. If you do want to start a relationship and she does too, then the function will give it a good start. If she doesn't want any more than a friend, then it will be a good time anyways. Take your time and don't pressure her, but you can still take her out. I go out with my female friends all the time just for fun and we have a great time. DON'T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF. Good luck.

Just keep it cool and keep her as a friend for now and if she reciprocates your feelings, then, VOILA! A match made in heaven. Remember this is not the 1st or 2nd grade again, where it's like "I'll give you a cookie if you'll be my girlfriend." No, we females have learned alot since the second grade. So keep it cool and just play the friends game and take some body reading language classes, that usually helps. Then you can really tell if she's diggin' you or not. Hope all goes well!

Absolutely ask her out! It sounds like she might be waiting for u to do so. Don't worry about rejection, if she is your true friend and doesn't want to date, she will still be friends. Good luck you sound like such a romantic, sweet, and smart kid. Stay the same, for some reason when guys turn 20 something they become like cavemen!! LOL

Brother, Brother, Brother, you have asked the right question!!!
of course you should ask her out, let me tell you something about asking a girl out; you should always get to know her first, and then make your move after you get to know her, because you would have just a tad bit more confidence to say what's on you're mind because no woman likes pick up line's so remember always be yourself!!!! And you will always get the girl.

You will automatically feel when there would be a perfect time to ask her out now you just need to know her well enough, and have patience coz gals mostly feel insecure and uncomfortable when the guys do it fast.

I am sure you have already made sure that there isnt any1 in her life already.

Things are looking pretty good. If she's not talking about other guys, then I think she's into you and wants you to ask her out. Give it another week and see how it's moving along.

Do what I said to do as an answer to a question; basically ask her "If I were intersted in you, would you consider going out with me?"...and then gauge your next move from her reaction.

Expand your friendship, then ask her out, give it a bit longer. Get to know her better first. Girls like that.
