Why do they think that they have to insult someone to get there point across?

You have to understand not all people think alike, or have the
same opinions. These people have little or no social skills.
They don't know how to act in a civilized manner, or choose
not to. You can disagree with someone, and still have a
debate, without insulting each other. People who do this are
usually ignorant or misinformed when it comes to facts and
opinions. This is especially the case when it comes to the
following topics: Religion, Sports, Politics, Entertainment
(Music, TV, Movies, Stage Acting, Books), and Culture.
Some people are so bullheaded because they don't
think people who are different from them deserve to be
at the same level they are as people. They look down on
these people. Racists are a prime example of arrogance,
not to mention those who think in terms of socio-economic
classes, where some people think they are better because
they have more money than others.
