Okay, I'm falling big-time for this dude in my class. Thing is, he "loves" this other girl who's already rejected him. I'd tell him how I feel, but he's really immature sometimes, and would probably tell all his friends and embarass me. Should I just tell him? I go to a small school, so what one person knows, everybody knows, and I don't know if I want to risk the chance of being humiliated like that.

Yowza! What a dilemma.

First of all, ask yourself if you're ready for a relationship with this guy.

I have a godsister who went out with this guy and she was the best thing that ever happened in his life, according to what his friends and family said. They even got engaged. So there I was, thinking things will go well when my godsis comes by and tells me they broke up! OMG, why?! I asked. Then I found out.
First, he was still hung up on his first crush. Even though they were close, she still felt like she was competing with someone else, even though his ex was long gone and didn't want to see him again.
Second, this guy, even at age 27 is still immature. He was going to become a doctor and part of the reason he broke up with her was because she didn't look like a "doctor's wife" whatever that means.
And the worst insult that got my godsis to tell him off was this. He wanted to be friends but still be able to have sex with her.

Now, I'm not saying that guy are this guy you like are the same.
But I am saying you should take it easy and take it slow because the heart is something that should be taken care of and shouldn't be given away lightly.

1) Find out why you like him. Is it merely physical or is there something more? Can you actually see yourself with him 20-30years down the road? (Hint: Can you stand his parents? If you find them nice, chances are you'll find him nice too.) When you know what you're attracted to, it'll be easier for you to make a wiser choice. Chances are, as cruel as this sounds, that there are other guys with these traits as well.

2) Get distracted by something else for a while so your heart and emotions and energy are caught up in something else for a bit. That way, you'll have a clearer head.

3) Get a few friends you can REALLY trust to help you. Not the types that blab 'cause then word will get around. If they know him, they can help better advise you. Get a guy and a girl to get two different perspectives if you can.

After all that, if you're sure you want to go for it, then give it a shot. Just know what you're getting into first as much as you can.

Good luck and God bless.

You should never be ashamed of how you feel. If you tell him and he tells others, so what? Hold your head up high and say, "Yep that's how I feel."
