I don't know who Billy T is... but he's full of crap! I've lived in Florida all my life. I grew up in Miami, went to school in Gainesville and have fished all parts of Florida.
Miami in the winter averages daytime temperatures in the 70's and 80's, with occasional lows in the high 30's, but usually in the 50's and 60's.
Gainesville in the winter can get damned cold. Lows in the 30's and highs in the 50's. And it's wet with gray skies.

Every heard of someone that went to Florida and said "ya we had a great time, but it was a little bit colder than I thought it would be". That is Florida in Jan, Feb and Early March. This also holds true also for the Bahamas.
A better time to visit there for weather and outside hurricane season is April or May.
Don't expect hot, because odds are during this month you will be disappointed if that is what you are wanting.
Have Fun!

The solar IS brighter interior the wintry climate simply by fact the Earth's orbit around the solar isn't a appropriate circle yet an elipse with the solar at one concentration. The Earth is closest to the solar on ~January 5th, so the solar would be brightest on and around that day. inspite of the incontrovertible fact that, this has no longer something to do with the march of the seasons, that are simply by perspective of the solar above the horizon. simply by lean of the Earth's axis in comparison to the orbital airplane, The solar is nearly overhead at midday in previous due spring and summer season, inspite of the incontrovertible fact that that's extremely low interior the sky even at midday interior the wintry climate. in case you do not have self belief me in simple terms inspect the dimensions of your shadow at ~a million:00PM daylight hours saving time now, and then do an identical at 12:00 midday in previous due November or December-January and you will see what I propose. The decrease solar perspective skill less warm temperatures, inspite of the place the solar is in its orbit.
