If you set your options in Word to always create backups, you could open the backup and save it to a new filename.

If you did not set this option and you overwrote the file, so far as I know it is history.

To always create backups, when in Word, cl Tools, cl Options, cl the Save tab. cl to put a checkmark next to "always create a backup copy."

Of course this means Word will automatically create a back of every Word file you create and you will have to clear them out.
