It may not be the children believing in Santa Claus that is the fantasy here. You have spoken of the Law as given to Moses, you have spoken of the Cross which was to replace the Law but you are still talking about the Bible, written by men all Jewish and then compiled in a book, hundreds of years later which was a consensus of the Jewish and Catholic faiths as to what was the word of God and how one should live their lives. I dare say too, that as your attitude shows, you too believe you have the truth. Don't worry about the children that are not yours when you speak of sinful natures. Do not worry that those children may react in any which way to their parents or others when you have no proof of truth. Condemnation of others will only bring about your own judgment in this life and beyond.

The fairy tale of "Santa Clause" is a big joke in our house. The kids all know about Nicholas, the saint! Why not tell them the truth? It is a lot more interesting than the fairy tale!
Your comment about sin and Law and the cross is way mixed up. The Law did not create sin, it just let people know how to define something that already existed. The Law was NEVER the problem; it is Sin living within us that is the problem. THAT is what must be nailed to the cross, and it is a daily exercise for those who believe!

It is sad, but people rather believe in lies than to embrace truth.
One of the most damaging lies parents can tell their children is about Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth fairy, etc. Why? Because at the moment when the lie is riped away the truth is finally told to an eight year-old that Santa never existed...
A child's world is destroyed. At that moment innocence is lost. And the child learns, from his/her parents to lie and not to trust anyone any more.
Parents wonder why children grow up disobedient and not listening to elders. Well it should come as no surprise when we devestate our children with lies.
This is the legacy we hand down to our children.

CUTE KITTY! No i dont want my child to lie and disobey me. But since we are flesh it is something that happens. As adults we try to live by God's Law and it is very hard at times.

Children only act like children because we treat them like idiots. If we told them the truth from the start they'd be a lot smarter and less confused. I'm with ya.

You have to believe Jesus saved you. If you think it's a lie, that's your problem.
