You would have never understood the verse that says
"It is better to live in a deserted land, than with woman who is angry and unforgiving"

Proverbs 21:19

I spent three of the saddest years of my life under the same roof with a woman like what that verse descrives and I agreed 110 % that I rather live anywhere else that with that woman (my biological mother)

Isaiah 48:18 O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:

I had always wondered what that meant "peace as a river" etc... then one day I was praying...not about that, just sort of listening (I wish I did that more)...but the thoughts came to me about how peace is like a river (and like the waves of the sea)...

Imagine sitting at a railroad crossing waiting for a train to cross in front of you...eventually the end of the train will come....
but now...imagine if it was a "river" crossing in front of you...there would be no end! The river would just keep on flowing by! (no end to it) that is what it means to me now...if I keep the commandments there will be NO END to the peace...also with the waves of the sea...they just keep on coming...no end in sight!!!
there are other parts too, like how flowing water is just naturally soothing etc...but the main meaning to me is just the "everflowing peace" without end that is available to me...IF I keep the commandments!

Any verse having to do with "grace"
Rom:11:6
And if by grace, then it is no longer by works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.
ll Corth:12:9
But HE said to me,"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness
James 4:6
But HE gives us more grace. That is why the scripture says:
"GOD opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
I love these verses because to says to me we can be so proud of ourselves that we think " we're not that bad, so as long as we hav;nt killed someone or give a $1.00 to a homeless guy we can get into heaven. Thank you Jesue that our salvation has nothing to do with what WE do, but what Christ did.

Thanks,
really great question!!

Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Since I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, this scripture has come alive in my life. I can see that not all things that happened to me were good, but after God filled me with His Spirit, I can see how God even used the bad things that happened to me for my own good and for other people too!

Joh 8:57 The Jews therefore said to him: Thou art not yet fifty years old. And hast thou seen Abraham?
Joh 8:58 Jesus said to them: Amen, amen, I say to you, before Abraham was made, I AM.

James 5:14

Receiving a healing blessing.

14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
