not everyone does it. i don't do it. it's just that everyone who does it thinks they have to talk about it, and the ppl who dont do it dont talk about not doing it, so it sounds like it's done more than it is.

Cheating means many things. For example cheating can mean going out with two people at once or Cheating on a test in school. Both of these are bad and not everyone does it but cheating varies for example cheating in a boardgame with your siblings VS a doctor cheat on the exam to become a doctor. Or a car dealer cheating you out of your money. See what I man.
But your question is in the singles and dateing so I know what you mean and no I don't cheat and never will infact not many people I know have or will.

Cheating is bad. In a way it is a form of dishonesty or secrecy in a relationship. Is dishonesty or secrecy in a relationship bad? It is if you want the relationship to survive. Trust is the main issue... to love is to trust. How can you trust someone who is keeping secrets from you or being dishonest?
Not everyone cheats, however. The percentage of people nowadays are more likely to have cheated in their lives as opposed to the 1950's. People are human and humans make mistakes. Whether or not they are sorry for their mistakes is another story.
If someone has cheated on you then always go with your gut instinct instead of your heart. Love is beautiful but it can stear you wrong... it has gotten many people killed or caused diseases. When you love someone... you will deny the truth or believe a lie. Cheating can drive someone mad.
But then karma always has a way of catching up with you.

Everyone do not cheat and it is bad to do so. The ones that do is just going through the motion and having them some fun. They will understand the effects of cheating with time.

Not everyone cheats. If everyone cheats then why would you be asking this question because that would mean you cheat and therefor you would know the answer to why people cheat!
I will say if you date someone who is known to be a cheater 9x's out of 10 they will cheat on you..

Not only bad people cheat...good people cheat too. People get tempted and make mistakes. I think it happens because people aren't 100 percent happy in their current relationship and they start looking to someone else that can make them happy. I have known people that cheat just because that's who they are, and I have known people that have cheated after being unhappy in a relationship for years. Some people are just cheaters, no matter who they are with.

Cheating is bad because when you cheat the middle person is getting hurt who thought that this relationship between two would last forever and lets also remember it's just like this if you sleep with a prostitute you become one with that prostitute it's the same way with cheaters when they sleep around and it also increases their chance of catching a disease such as aids and so on and you it is also putting your life in danger.

If they think they can get away with it and think they need to do it then they will cheat. Everyone knows it is bad. There's a lot of things people know are bad (like smoking, shooting someone, etc) but do anyway.

People cheat for 2 reasons. They like to cheat, or their current relationship is ok but they want something else that they are not getting. People who cheat are cowards in my book.

I don't cheat....I only get cheated on (and once with, though at the time I didn't know it).
I think people do it because they lack any capacity for empathy, and don't understand how much it would hurt to be in the other's situation.
