Beer has more non-alcohol liquid with it, so that helps rehydrate you. It depends on the proof of the beers and vodka, and how large the beers and shots where. Assuming pretty average beer and vodka proofs and 12 oz beers and I don't really know what to use for big shots, but a regular shot is 1.5 oz, a pony shot is 1 oz, so I will go with 1.5 oz. 12 average beers vs 5 shots of vodka, even with the higher non-alcoholic liquid content in the beer, the beer would dehydrate you more. Even if it were 2 oz shots or something like that, the beer would dehydrate you more. The vodka drinks would have to be around 3 oz each to dehydrate you more than the beer. Also other things can dehydrate you in the beer or vodka, such as sodium, but that should be insignificant in most cases. As far as faster, that would also depend on how quickly you drank the alcohol. You can drink 5 big shots faster than 12 beers (Unless your shots are huge or you aren't drinking the shots straight) so the alcohol would enter your body faster, and therefore start to dehydrate you faster than the beer.

beer before liquor your bound to get sicker, that is really all you need to know. HQ always seems to make me sick no matter the order. I drink lots of beer and piss like a racehorse, my friends on the east coast say liquor doesn't dehydrate you as much as beer, I trust their word.

No. Each one contains one ounce of alcohol. So actually the 12 beers would dehydrate you more.

Beer always makes me more dehydrated.
When you pee it out it takes all of your body's fluids with it.
The more beer you drink the less you will be drinking things like water or juice.

I don't think so. Beer is made with yeast which automatically soaks up more water. But it really does depend on your water intake, body size, and all that other crap. And the proof of the alcohol.

yes, it was explained to me that hard liquor's alcohol content was much higher than that of beers, and supposudly thats why hard liquor makes you more dehydrated (and gets you drunk alot quicker) so quickly. hope it helps! :)

It's not the amount you are drinking it is the amount of alcohol you are consuming. Has nothing to do with the flavoring.
