I had the same thing and had to go to a doctor. He put me on medication and it did wonders. I no longer have panic attacks and live a normal life. Yes, you need to go to a therapist to guide you.

From one panic attacker to another, I totally feel what you're saying. It took me along time to get them under control. NO. Not totally, I still do take meds on some occassions. Its ok to have them. When I started to get them I was 18. I'm now 43. People back then thought I was just making it up or exaggerating about, what they were. ((( I can't breath, I'm gonna die, this is it, I must have cancer, cuz, those are my symptoms, i.e.,))) All me. I've had to speak with someone. Now, I think its a smidge easier for someone to sympathize, cuz, they're proven to be not just in our immagination. Honestly, its not something in our head making them happen. Its hormonal too. During my periods or right before, they were more frequent. I had to take meds when I felt that "fear" sensation coming. Eventuallly, me talking to myself, talking myself through it, truly helped. But, it takes time, to know the sign and symptom and the "when" cycle you feel this. If tests and your schedule and class makes this happen, why not lightin your load alittle. And you're Definately NOT STupID for hearing your body say,..........""whoa, I'm uncomfortable". Please talk with someone, and don't feel like you're a lone soldier with these,...the person sitting next to you, could also be having the same feelings going on with them.
WE'RE EVERYWHERE! :-) Good luck !!! You'll be fine.

Honey, get a grip. If they let you take honors classes, it's because they believe you can do them. And you can. Just concentrate on the material and feel the joy of learning something new.
A therapist can help you if you are really having anxiety attacks, but try to help yourself. Most medicos want to pass out drugs. Try using your own strength. You are stronger than you know.
Good luck , sweetie.

Yeah same thing happened to me with the classes and I always felt stupid..... I found out I'm not stupid. You need to realize your not either. It's just the uncertainty that you have about yourself. This is going to sound funny but Massage helped me. It released a lot of barriers in my body that I mentally placed there and when they were gone I felt way better! Even my family have commented on my change and I never knew I was that transparent!
