By simplicity I mean not copmpicating things like religion, polotics, government. Not doing things like trying to be right, or being better then someone else. I see all this technology and traditionally my Native People concider it evil sorcery that poisons the spirit, yet we are forced to adapt to these radical changes in order to survive.

Looking at the way things are in the world, it seams crazy to me, I see people walk out in front of cars yet run to get out of the rain. I see people getting angry when someone says something they don't like but ignore people when they ask for help, like getting beat up or robbed.

I think the meaning of life is to remain simple and not be selfish. All I see from all of this complexity is people wanting to take more and more from all things without giving anything back.

Yes, before Columbus came we didn't have huge wars or burnings of heretics. I sincerely think that most of these people wouldn't believe that we don't traditionally argue over such matters as religion without it being some silly concept of taboo in their minds.

They may be high tech in the physical sense but they really lack social technology. I don't think they can comprehend the idea without some kind of concept of socialism. A lot of them are probably thinking that this is some nostalgic idea of our people many many MOONs AGO. LOL, they just don't get it brother; look how they talk about us in a past tense, like we're not here anymore.

They're so separated from themselves that most of them can't even comprehend human beings in our natural state of mind. They think being evil and violent and greedy are part of human nature. just look how some of these people became aggressive toward your question. They take everything personal and the first thing they do is try to decide if they agree with one or not. They don't listen they just get ready for the attack like a rabid coyote.

Sorry about the bitterness, I need to get to ceremony, and you'll soon learn how easily that poison will get to you if your not careful. It just boils down to what the old ones always said "They're crazy and make no since."

I couldn't agree with you more, in fact I've been telling others exactly what you said for all of my life, sadly, people are biased, to what they themselves want/believe/think, I mean people in general, not ALL people of course, but sadder still those I listed ARE the majority. I do not argue politics or religion, it's silly and a waste of time better spend in an intelligent, non-judgmental discussion. When I disagree with someone in matters that don't involve violence, I ask if we can politely agree to disagree and respect the other's views. That tactic has allowed me and my husband to remain in love and happily wed for 27 years, it has also gained us several close friends we love like family. Arguing over differences of opinions is sheer childishness. Especially when we could be using our time helping and loving each other as we are meant to do. I never turn a blind eye or ear to anyone in need because it is my nature, even those I don't trust know I can be counted on and I do this because it is who I am, not out of any sense of glory for myself. Normally I'd not even mention that part, but it seemed important to getting my message across. Good deeds should never be used as a way to make yourself look good and bad deeds can be redeemed, if only others would decide to change, they'd find themselves far more happy and fulfilled rather than making life more complex than it already is.

We are blessed to have you in our midst. There are many truths in what you write.
Complexity can also be good - it allows you to express these fine sentiments, to operate on cancer/accident victims/and provide sufficient goods for many people.
I think the Mennonites still live the physically simple life you mention, especially the ones in Paraguay/Peru.
Perhaps more important is to have a heart of simplicity. There is an excellent book, Celebrate Simplicity by Foster. The title may be a little off. Check it out - and again, thank you.

I like what you just wrote, and YES I think simple is best. I am also Native and wouldn't it be nice if things could go back in time, and we could all live the simple life.Do we really need wars,do really need to have bigger and better things then our neighbours, and do we really need to move so fast in life that we don't really notice the beauty in nature, and mother earth. anymore. I for one try to live traditionally as possible in this crazy world.

The Reason that takes Humans so Far ahead of other animals is our sense of Conciousness. it is what makes us Superior to other animals, but it also tends to make us More Self Centered.
I think the world that u want to see can only happen if people are not Self Concious, that is : A life similar to any other Animal, Simple and not Complicated.

That's actually a really interesting theory, and it does kinda make sense. Thanks for giving me something new to ponder, instead of all the same stuff that gets said over and over on this site ! It's nice to hear such an original thought (at least it's a new thought to me.....)

I guess that's not really an answer to your question, but until I think about it for awhile, I'm not sure I can really agree or disagree.

The sin you dedicate isn't too huge that God can't forgive it. The sin you dedicate isn't so regularly occurring that God can't forgive it. "you spot, at only the suitable time, as quickly as we've been nonetheless powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very hardly will anybody die for a righteous guy, in spite of the indisputable fact that for a stable guy somebody could in all probability dare to die. yet God demonstrates his own love for us in this: collectively as we've been nonetheless sinners, Christ died for us.. For if, as quickly as we've been God's enemies, we've been reconciled to him in the process the dying of his Son, how lots greater, having been reconciled, we could be stored with the aid of his existence! transforming into a Christian does not propose you will by no skill sin. It only skill you would be greater huge wide awake of it and prefer to not considering you like to stay a existence alluring to the daddy. he's on no account shocked once you sin. once you concentration on God rather of your sin nature, you would be much less possibly to pass into into sin. Spend time in His be conscious. Spend time chatting with Him. once you're an ew Christian, you're continually so attentive to what you're doing incorrect. God's not waiting someplace to smack you around once you sin. He loves you. all of us have sinned and proceed to sin. come back up lower back. draw on the threshold of Him in all issues and he will see you thru. Be inspired! it extremely is a superb experience this walk of religion.

Your opinions are kind of like John Lennon's song "imagine."
I agree with you however, human life stops when we stop asking why. And things like religion and politics naturally provoke different opinions because we are human.

The main problem is that greed is human nature, and if even 5% of the people are extremely greedy, they will ruin it for all.

Nope. The solution to the Jewish problem was simple.
"Death to infidels" is simple.
"Better dead than Red" another one that was used to justify hatred for both American Indians and communists.
