I recently got the dreaded signal that she wants a gift. There's no occasion like a birthday or anniversary. But she did give me a very obvious hint recently that she wants me to "surprise" her with a gift last week. At this point I don't care what I get. I just want some good ideas of crappy gifts that can come across as being sweet to the female mind. She's a material girl, so don't give me any suggestions like "write a song about her" or "cook her dinner". I hate thinking of gift ideas, and I hate going into stores and looking around for ideas. I'm comping out, and asking you to think of something for me. If you reply with a totally unrealistic response, or a response mocking my inability to think of a gift myself, I don't care. Any ideas will help.

You guys are acting like I'm the first guy ever to be annoyed with an obligatory gift.
I don't blame the women for not identifying with this, because they are never under any gift buying pressure.
But come on guys - don't impress your politically correct girlfriends with you're response, give me something I can use!

Oh and it's not the act of being nice to her I don't like -
I just seriously hate going to stores with no shopping agenda. It's ideas I'm after.
I don't care if the gift is crappy by my standards, as long as she likes it - that's the goal we're after people.

Why are you even bothering if it's such a chore to be nice to her? If a woman has to ask for a "gift," what she really wants is attention (unless she's a hooker). Break up with her and spare her further exposure to your horrible, unimaginative, selfish personality.

What about a beautiful, blank card with a note on the inside that reads:
"You've been dropping hints that you want a gift for no apparent reason. Oh, and thank you for hinting that you wanted a "surprise." With that kind of pressure, there's not way that I'll be able to come up with a gift that will make you happy. Since you're a Material Girl, there's not a gift that will seem expensive enough, and I don't really want to go bankrupt behind you.
I'm a little annoyed that I even have to do this, so I have asked complete strangers what I should do. The best response was from a woman who suggested that I get down on bended knee, hand you a ring box containing a Cubic Zirconium solitaire, and ask you 'Would you please get off my back for a couple of weeks?' "
Go to Wal-Mart or Big Lots, get the ring. Have it appropriately wrapped and give it to her. I guarantee she'll be off your back in no time...

i really had better human beings purchase issues off the registry contained in the month after the marriage. Peaple merely despatched presents contained in the mail. I recieved such an incredible style of envelopes of money although, have someone be certain that you do watch your present table! I had a buddy that merely were given funds for her wedding ceremony, and easily some issues from the registry. So don't be dissapointed, she even had 320 travellers.

dang man sounds like u dont really care to get her anything at all, with the attitude you got. whats the point in being with her if u want ideas on "crappy gifts" what guy would want to get their girl a crappy gift or not care.
my advice if its that big of a deal to want to surprise her everyonce in awhile then break up with her, so she kinda find a guy who wants to spend time and money on her without complaining like they dont really want too.and she shouldnt have to give hints to surprise her with gifts every once in awhile.
anybody else agree?
dude u still act like u dont wanna buy anything nice, it should be from your heart and not the users of yahoo

Why even get her a gift if it's not from the heart? that's just wrong... but it may as well be something good, like jewelry or flowers...

A great gift to give her would be to break up with her so she can find a better man.

I would get her the game Skycapers. I played it with my old lady last weekend and you would not believe how wet she got when I pulled off the last caper to win the game. Do that and you're golden.
