Read Matthew 25...the parable of the talents. God has given everyone something...you can always use what He has given even if you think you are ordinary. You are extraordinary to Him!!! You don't have to save the world for God to use you. He wants you where you are right now. Maybe all you have to do is smile, or open the door for someone. You can still do His work in the everyday, ordinary...

The best thing you have going for you right now is your faith in Jesus Christ. When you accepted the Lord Jesus Christ you accepted the Father. So, you are good at that and that didn't take talent.
I have been around for 58 years now and have seen high school graduates that could not read or put a sentence together to save there lives. But they had talent. They could tear down an engine and rebuild new again. They could take a piece of lumber and make a table. This happens all the time.
I'm surprised that you did not in your life find something that interested you. Maybe it words. Your question shows that you no how to spell and tell a story. That might be your niche.
But know this. that being a child of God and part of the Body of Christ puts you right where God wants you to be at this very moment. You were chosen by God for a special purpose. Let God. That's what I always tell people. Let God.
Stop watching so much TV and read something.><>

I believe that God gives all of us talents. However, some talents may not be as glamorous in our society as others. I'm the music pastor at my church; I direct the choirs, play the piano, etc. However, my wife is very good with finances and organizing things. Therefore, she does some of the administrative work at our church. I have a lot more visibility and so forth, but God is using both of us to do His will. You may want to ask your pastor for a Spiritual Gifts Inventory Instrument. It is something that asks you a bunch of questions and then tells you what gifts you have to offer the Lord.
Good luck!

HaHa I have seen that episode. That's a great show. I am kind of experiencing the same thing myself. I think that very fact that were looking for our talents and think outside the box is a good enough gift alone. Not a lot of people search for things in themselves and for meaning in life. A very respected teacher said to me one time "God gives us flaws and doesn't make us perfect, so we rely on him even more and bring us closer to him" Remember faith, the search for wisdom, and self respect are all God given talents.

Honey be patient. We all have God given gifts. Some people's are just more subtle than others. You could be the worlds most patient person, or a top artist. You could have the gift of discernment, or a beautiful singing voice. Maybe you have the gift of kindness, while others can make people laugh uncontrollably. You'll know when you find what yours is. Be patient and have faith that you are a just as special as all the other children of God are.
Good Luck ! ! !

I felt the same way. I thought God had left me out and I had no talents, but my talent is with children and being a help to those in need. If you play an instument...what a talent! If you work in a grocery store and have a great attitude....what a gift of encouragement! If you like to talk....what a gift of encouragent to younger people and older also!

Y don't you seek God and ask him the talents he's given you. You might have some hidden talents you have no clue about. LIke me I've always known ever since I was little that I could sing and play teh piano. But I just reciently found out that I have a passion and great love for kids.

Yes, God gives everyone talents. Some come earlier than others and some take more work to develop. As a pastor, I found it helpful to ask:
a) What do you enjoy?
b) What are you effective at?
c) Where do people encourage you?
The E Triology may take time for you to experience, but I can assure you, you have gifts.

I believe that God gives us all different talents and abilities to do certain things very well. I have found several things that I am able to do very well, and I give God the glory for every one of them. But I believe that sometimes it takes us a little while to realize what our God given talents are. We must have confidence in ourselves; and have a positive attitude about ourselves. I believe this includes you also. If you will just ask God, He will help you to realize what your talents are. Always have a positive attitude; for God tells us in Phil. 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me." We must realize that our strength to fulfill our talents must come from God also. He will never let us down. Just trust Him. He will help you always.

There used to be this theory among medical professionals in later centuries that one studied in the art could read the lumps ( hills / valleys ) on a child's head and determine his / her potential profession / skill / talent. Once such a practioner can across a child with a perfectly smooth head. Does this mean that the child will have no skill / talent whatsoever ( all valley ) or if he will be equally talented in whatever he tries ( all hill ). I say it's up to you.
