Zoroastrians are monotheistic just as the Jews and Christians would be. Also, the belief in a future state; of rewards and punishments,the soul's immortality, and the Last Judgment - all of them essential parts of the Zoroastrian scheme.

Everything borrows from everything and everyone else around them and before them all the time. Nothing exists completely independent of everything else. It is simply human nature. That's all. NOTHING is "pure." Don't worry about it so much. If it works, that's great. If it doesn't, then change it or find something better. It'll all work out. Really.

Most religions copy off of other religions. I'm sure Zoroastrianism copied an earlier one.
