My neighbor asked me to ask you nice folks about this, she doesn't have a computer and is quitting smoking, She says there has been ringing in her ear and eye twitching since she started the comit logenze. It goes away after about a month of not using the product, but come back if she tries to quit again? What's going on?

I've been using the 4mg Commit lozenges for 4 weeks now. I've never used the gum because I know people that are now addicted to the gum. I have been much more successful using the lozenges than I ever was with the patch. Not one cigarrette in 4 weeks...they really help take the edge off. I haven't had any side effects that I can contribute to the lozenges themselves. I have not had any eye twitching or ringing in my ears. When I first started using the lozenges, I had to get used to them. They don't taste good and I felt like my throat was closing up on me, but I eventually got used to them and the feeling of a closing throat has gone away. I have had a few sleepless nights and I'm coughing more tar up in week 4 than I did in weeks 1-3, but I think that is just the result of not smoking and doesn't have anything to do with the lozenges. The first person to answer your question mentioned nausea. I've only experienced that if I took a lozenge without wating the hour that the directions suggest you take in between lozenges. I'm not a doctor, so I can't tell you anymore than what I've experienced. If she is worried about symptoms that only arise when she uses the Commit lozenges, she should talk to her doctor. the only problem I had with lozenges was nausea which went away when i quit the lozenge. good luck
