My wife is catholic and I am a Protestant. She wants me to convert and I have been resistant, because I am not convinced which religion has it right. If there are no cases of Stigmata in anything other that the Catholic religion, It may lead me to believe Catholics may be closer to god. ~ One who is always searching for god

I don't really know the answer to your question, but I joined the Catholic church two years ago from the Baptist religion. I read a book "They Bore the Wounds of Christ" and it is fascinating(but all about Catholics)! After reading many books and praying constantly, I discerned it was right for me. God will show you the way to go if you listen. Look for the signs to point you in the right direction...nothing is coincidence...He will show you.

Plenty of protestants and catholics alike have faked stigmata, although the protestants didn't get into the act until fairly recently. As for the real thing, nobody's yet demonstrated a case of real stigmata under observing conditions that would rule out a hoax.

Have you really ever seen a stigmata? Be more skeptical.
