there is no reason why you shouldn't at least find out what other religions believe and why, if nothing else it will make you stronger in your faith but it may also lead you in a different direction

I am a Muslim too. Asalamualakum. If you were a true true Muslim, you wouldn't ask this question. Do you pray? Read Quran? Think about it, Islam is the true religion, no other religion can compete. I don't mean to sound like a nerd, but once you enter Islam you found the right religion........please for your sake....no one elses email me at imdalala@yahoo.com i am sure you will stay muslim if you do. Salam

If you live in north America, then you are free to believe any thing you want, I am sure people in your family would be devastated if you gave up your beliefs. Please find and talk to some one of your beliefs, it may be that there are others that loose their faith. I know that this happens in western religions. How important is your faith to you? where will you be, if you should walk away from the religion of your family, You need to explore and answer a lot of these questions before you do anything

The only one who can answer this question is you. Look inside yourself, what makes you feel distanced from this religion?
What attracts you too it?
Do you feel like you could be closer to god by participating in another religion?

And remember... God is like a diamond, though there are many facets, they are all part of the whole.

Leave it.

Before any of you accuse me of being anti-Islam, let me say that I would give this advice to anyone of any other religion as well. I'm anti-religion.

Religion is harmful (count the wars in history caused by religion) and degrading (with a god, why is it necessary for a human to actually do something worthwhile?). Freedom from religion is one of the best things an individual can hope to achieve.

On a less opinionated level, if you feel that there is anything at all wrong with your religion, leave it. If there's something wrong with it, then it's not something you should be wasting your time with. If you don't feel that there's anything at all wrong with your religion, keep it.

A lot of us we're raised a certain religion - and a lot of us choose not to be involved in any religion. It's ok. Do what you feel is right.

If 'YOU' want to change then go ahead. One does not have to follow the religion one was born in.

It's really up to you. From what you're saying it doesn't seem like you like it anymore. You can always convert to another religion if you want...

There is a great quiz you can take... let me find it online...

Here... it is called the Belief-O-Matic quiz-- you tell it what you believe and it lets you know which religion is right for your beliefs.
