OK number 1 a bird is not a mammal mammals are warm blooded and give birth to their young but cold blooded animals either lay eggs or like a few snakes have live young but they are still cold blooded.i think that birds are avi because aviation means to take flight like an aviator like a pilot.birds take flight too.

The class birds are in is Aves, there are MANY different bird families: Corvidae (crows, ravens, jays) . Trochilidae(hummingbirds), Picidae (woodpeckers), Accipitridae (kites, hawks, eagles), etc., etc.

They are not a mammal. A mammal is anywarm blodded animal that produces milk for its young, birds do not do this. A catagory for Birds are just Birds.

Birds... well, birds have eggs. Birds aren't mammals. We, humans are mammals, and we DO NOT HAVE EGGS. Birds=non-mammal.
