Some say washing with warm, and rinsing with cold so you can lock in moisture. But I wash my hair with warm, and rinse with warm. Most people wash hair in the shower, and I'm not standing under cold water. If you use good products, and know how to care for your hair, it won't hurt your hair.

This is your girl BCL again helpin a sista out that is in need. Cause you know black sistaz got some hair issues that only we can help each other out with. So as far as this question i say do hot water. That cold stuff dont get the dirt out. You go need to use hot water with a good shampoo & some conditioner. Girl you know the white people & people that dont care go tell you that it dont matter or to use cold. But you gotta know there are only a couple of people thats gonna help out like me!!!!

Best of luck, BCL

Well Im not black, but I have alot of black friends, and I do hair. Use colder water, because it will close the cells in the strands which cause frizzing, excesive curling, and exsesive grease.

I think warm water helps. Cold seems to make mine frizzy.
