I went to a wedding in a July that was for a friend of my fiance's.

HE hadn't even seen the groom or bride for over 10 years. I knew two people there--my son and my fiance. And our son talked through the whole Catholic ceremony!

Needless to say we didn't stay long.

Yes, a co-worker's daughter's wedding. It's kinda strange. We attended the ceremony, went to the dinner, but didn't stay for the dance.

yes, go around to the old ppl and say things like how do you know the bride/groom and start up a conversation. when its time to dance be on that floor, you will make a big impresstion and wont seem like a loser in the corner if you break the ice. maybe bring a friend! good luck! have fun

Yeah...my Dad's. It was really awkward. I'm going to another one just like that this weekend. It's awkward. That's about all I can say. Sometimes you can bring a "date" which can just be a friend but sometimes you can't. I'm trying to just be there for my friend who's getting married and not worrying about how uncomfortable I'll feel for a few hours.

My culture marriages are boring. Theres a bunch of old men there just drinking away and passing it down to the bride. I don't know anyone cause its just old people, who likes to talk sh*t.
