If you have a myspace or xanga or whatever or know someone who does can you help me with this? In my Sunday school class some of us kids talked about an annoying thing that we'd been noticing. Why do some people have like bible verses all over their myspace or as thier screen name but then if you look at thier comments or see them at school, they are the total opposite of what they say they are. Do they do this because they're ashamed of thier religion or they think it's cool to act like they love the God?

Religious symbols are great fashion for people with no faith whatsoever, it makes them look coooooooolllllll !!!!!!!!
I'm willing to bet that at least a few murders have been commited py persons wearing a cross or other symbol on a chain around their neck.

They're not as spiritually mature as you or I. People also love God in different ways. Some have crazy lives, but who's to say they love Him less than we do. I know "if you love me, you will keep my commandments" is what we SHOULD live by, but it is human and natural to fall short. It is spiritual to try everyday to get it right. Don't judge em. Pray for them. (Yes, I have myspace...sometimes I have a gospel song on my page...sometimes I don't... if someone says something offensive ~ thankfully they haven't ~ in my comments, I will delete that one~ if they want to be added as my friend and in their picture they're flipping the bird, they have profane music and glitter dolls in thongs, I chose not to add them~ not to judge but because that doesn't represent me. peace)

I think it is a fad. Rappers quote a lot of bible verses, and when kids hear them, they quote the rappers.
On the other hand, it is a possibility that they really are religious, and maybe they are just ashamed to admit it.

no i don't have a myspace....but i used to...i got rid of it cause i'm a chrisitan and i did have verses on there....but some of the things people were saying in the comments (people i don't know but added them anyway) posted some bad stuff on there...and i didn't want people to think i had double standards....maybe some of the people you saw weren't really paying attention to their witness or they just are faking it...either way its sad...thats why i had to get rid of mine cause i saw many things on there that i totaly didn't agree with
