It could be a number of things like a urinary tract infection, kidney stones, prostate cancer etc. Regardless of what it is you need to go to an urgent care now and get some tests done. If you can go pee than it is backing up and can cause some problems with your bladder.

Get your prostate checked (if you are male). An enlarged prostate will press against your ureter and cause problems urinating. This usually happens over age 50.

I wouldn't think cancer right away. There are several bladder, ureter, kidney problems that could be the reason. As always, only a doctor can diagnose you.

It depends what kind of trouble you're having. If it's burning and you feel like you have to go again a couple minutes later it may just be a urinary tract infection. I would go to your doctor ASAP.

As soon as you can, make an appointment with a Urologist. It could possibly be a kidney stone or a urinary infection in your bladder and/or kidney's. Don't mess around with this stuff, SEE A DOCTOR!
