Someone on another forum I'm on suggested milk thistle. I have a problem with that too, so I tried it. It does seem to work. You should be able to find it at your local health food or nutrition store.
Good luck!

Keep a record of when you have the restless leg, where and how long it lasts. Then see a physician. There is a prescription medication that can help, however, other health issues besides restless leg can cause similar problems including high potassium levels and diabetes.
Best to let your doctor make the correct decision for you not someone with no medical education.

There are medications such as Requip that will help allivate the symptoms. Also, my doctor (I have it too) told me to cut caffiene and nicotine and that would help. This is such a miserable condition, but there are ways to help. If you haven't seen a specialist, then start there because they can taylor a plan specifically for you.
I also started taking Trivita...which is a B-12, B6, and Folic acid supplement...I don't know if this really helped or if it was just in my head but it doesn't take me 3 hours to get to sleep anymore.
Good luck!

My father has RLS and takes meds for it. Neurontin and Requip are common treatments for RLS. It would be wise to weight the benefits with the risks of these treatments however. there have been a lot of reports of side effects and complications with these drugs.

NEURONTIN helps some people. It is an anti seizure med that is often prescribed off label for that, and for neuropathic pain. Check with your doc.

There is a prescription medication you can take - ask your doctor. Also try going to www.rls.org.

ask your physician about possibly prescribing clonazepam (klonopin) for you to take before sleep, it tends to work really well.
