I think there are several different things happening. The girl may be embarrassed of who the father is so she just says she doesn't know who the father is. Then, there are some girls that have multiple partners and really don't know who the father is. And then there are girls that want to have a baby but don't want a father to be involved, so she says she doesn't know who the father is. I think it is mainly girls these days have multiple partners.

Until I got on yahoo Q & A, I had no idea how bad it was. I am really surprised at the amount of people having unprotected sex. I have a friend, who just went wild after her divorce. Then she really worries about STD's. She is in her 30's. I think people just want attention so bad, that they lose their heads. Looking for love in all the wrong places. Alchohol and subtance abuse might have something to do with it.

Our culture has changed significantly and unwed mothers are no longer scorned and children born out of wedlock are no longer discriminated against. With both parents working and young people home alone and unsupervised it is very easy for these young people to find time to get "into trouble". With so much sex on TV and profane music on the radio, sex with multiple partners seems to have become the norm. It doesn't help that the public school system is not allowed to teach sex ed and safe sex practices. sad. very sad. very very sad.....

well im not sure but thats not all i had a baby at 14 and im still with the daddy ive been witth him for 3 years and our son is 13 months old and we dont use no goverment help not medicaid not food stamps nothing and im still in school so please do think all girls are ho*s like that cause im not he is the 1 and only person i slept with

I dont know the answer. But, I feel like it is being irresponsible on the mothers part for having sex, with many different guys, and not being able to keep account of who all or how many guys they slept with, I feel sorry for the babies born to mothers like that.

Because there's not enough sex education programs and too many abstinence only programs. These women don't know the facts and can't get any information from their 'educators' except "keep your legs closed" It's disgusting!

I don't want people mad at me.So I try and keep it clean.The kids these days have it ruff.The prantents ant home all the time know.So they don't know wright from wrong.They need parental guidance.They can't always learn from the streets.Take it from me I cant spell that well.

It takes two to tango....so both are responsible for the baby (the mother and the father)....so my answer is that both cannot say "no" to sex....and the girl having sex with several guys and not knowing who's the dad is, cannot say "no" to each of the men who also cannot say "no".

Lack of moral values causes them to not know when to close their legs. Most of the time the parents can be blamed for bad parenting.

Society is not what it used to be, way too many younger people are having sex to be 'cool'. Some girls have sex with multiple people, get pregnant and confused, go on maury and test 13 guys. go figure.
