Why don't they just quit feeding them so much?

The name "enabler" might be a bit harsh if the person doing the feeding is trying to help. There's a difference between bringing a bed bound individual a dozon jelly donuts and a liter of Pepsi or bringing them a nutritious salad and a glass of milk. Lets keep in mind no one is perfect and when you have to help someone who can't help themselves it is not easy. The best thing to do in this situation is help the person eat what is considered nutritious and hopefully they will lose enough weight to be able to move around.

The term for the person who brings a mobidly obese person food is bed is ENABLER. That means they know they are helping the person to stay fat but also know the person needs to eat.

If an obese person just stops eating, the first thing the body does is take nurishment from the easiest part of the body, which I heard are the internal organs like the heart and liver.

Don't prejudge people. Remember no human is perfect.

Their loved ones. It's the same thing as parents spoiling their children rotten. You should watch The Maury Show about the kids that are 2 and weigh 100 pounds and the parents who feed them. He does that show often.

I have always thought of that, too. How can the person who does this continue to do so? Wouldn't you think they'd love the person enough to help them out of such an unhealthy situation? Seems almost criminal to me.
