what you described is known as post nasal drip it indicates allergic rhinitis aka seasonal allergies, any allergy medicine would be good for you as well as steaming and gargles, good luck

Do you feel like this after you eat? It could be acid reflux. I had this and the only thing that seemed to help was taking prevacid or it could be a goiter in your throat and those have to be cut out. I had an endoscopy done first, which stretched my eshpagus (spelling) then my doctor put me on prevacid ever since then I've been fine.

It might be allergies, or it might be something altogether different. Fortunately, you have set that appointment so you should be able to find out what's going on.

Try drinking a glass of water before you go to bed. I normally would suggest hot tea, but not without knowing what you're allergic to- if that is what you're dealing with.

Good luck!
