or non-denominational...do present day Christians enjoy non-denominational churches vs. more charismatic or Pentecostal churches?

Non denominational churches are easy to like. They don't preach sin. It's easy to like a church that won't let you know what you are doing wrong. If everything you do is o.k., then why go to church at all? They don't know what they believe... if they did, then they would have a set of rules... And a denomination.

That has been a pattern long before today. Each generation has had its movement of God and people gravitate towards that movement. When it starts, it is not organized and non-denominational like the beginning of the Protestant Reformation.

Martin Luther was not a denomination, he was head of a move of God. Eventually a denomiation (Luthern) emerged. John Wesley was not a denomination but the head of a move of holiness. It became the Methodist, Wesleyan, and other groups.

The "word" movement today is a non-denomiational group still in its infantry. Because often those are the churches where the movement of God is happening, people are gravitating there. Eventually, a denomiation will emerging. In fact, much of the groundwork is already in place.

When the next move comes, odds are yet another denomination will emerge to carry on the revelation that comes from that movement.

It's hard to say, truthfully. Humans will naturally be drawn into groups with others with whom they agree or have preferences in common. My church is neither non-denominational nor charismatic. Those aren't the only choices available to Bible-believing Christians. You need to be in a church where God's Word is preached, and where you feel comfortable -- at least with the other worshippers and the style of worship. It's ok if God's Word makes you a little uncomfortable. He does that to all of us from time to time; it's called conviction of the Spirit. It's best of you're also in a place where you can somehow serve.

If the Christians in your area are turning from one type of church to another, see what you can find out. See if it's from a particular church or from that whole denomination. It may be something as simple as they don't like the music. They could also be miffed at something Pastor said or did. They could be in disagreement over position in the church. One would hope people would use a more noble set of criteria in choosing where to worship, but people will be people. Fortunately, God is patient with us humans, and is so loving we can't even understand it. Praise God! We sure need it often enough, don't we?

Technically, they are not turning away from faith, but are going to other churches, by your question.
Word churches teach the Word, line upon line, precept upon precept. There's a whole generation coming now that wants more spiritual meat in their spiritual diet, not just milk.

And with prophecies being fulfilled left and right towards fulfillment of the end-times, people want to know what the Word says for themselves.

When was the last time in your COGIC church that escatology was the topic of the preaching?

The true church is worldwide and doesn't really need a tag. As long as I'm meeting with bible believing christians denominations don't bother me. If they profess Christ and serve Him then I'm not fussy about names - after all, we won't have any in heaven.

All true christians are Gods children.

My church is non-denominational. We learn, word for word, book by book, of which I enjoy.

This is really complex and makes some assumptions I may not share. So, thank you for the points and good luck with the answer.
