Nikon Coolpix 5900 - This is the second digital camera I have owned and have had no problems at all. It has settings for any photo opportunity and I get great compliments on my photos all the time. I have recommended this camera to two other people in the last few weeks. Check out my trip photos at www.lawmanadventures.com and see for yourself!

I have a sony cybershot 7.2 and I am not sorry I paid a little extra.
There are smaller ones with the same features, but some of them don't have the viewfinder. There are times where you just have to have it.
Sony costs more, you are paying for the name, but??
You don't always need the high resolution, but it helps when you need to zoom more than the lens will let you.
Size matters, If it is too bulky, you won't have it when you need it.
