The answer is YES!!! Einstein had a learning disability and he was very successful. So have many actors and politicians and writers, etc.

Research information about the learning disability you have since there are a ton of them. Then, since I guess you are still in high school, ask for help under the Federal guidelines of ADA.

Be realistic as YOU chose your life goals, but don't let a "label" stop you from reaching to the stars. I did!

You can be successful, but it may be more difficult for you than other students.

It all depends upon your disability. Something like dyslexia is well understood and consequently easier to overcome. Other learning disabilities and cognitative disabilities (like autism or ADD) are still being studied and are harder to overcome.

It also depends upon how you define successful. I'm a school principal, which I define as very successful. Yet I cannot do math to save my life! I recommend trying to find your strengths--what are you good at--and see if that makes you "successful." Just remember that successful can mean being a good person, not just someone who gets lots of A's or money.

Yea. I used to watch this show called "Life Goes On." There was this kid Corky on there. He was retarded or something. He had a learning disability and he's a TV star! Never give up.

My little brother, and sister, both have learning disabilities. Both are currently maintaining a 3.7 and higher at UWF. One is majoring in the arts, and the other in electrical engineering.

You can acheive, whatever you decide you want to, and my parents understood that, and made it know to my sister and brother.

despite having a learning disablility anyone can be sucessful if they put their minds to it and work hard. It won't be easy but if you're willing to work for it you can be anything you want. It's a disablility not a life sentence.

If you want to be successful, all you have to do is work at it. One persons view of success differs from others. Maybe you could even use your disability to your advantage!
