If you had a friend that you thought liked you in that 'special way', and you never actually thought about him that way until you started thinking he liked you, and he had gone out with both your really good friend and a person you don't really like very much and then after breaking up with them(not two-timing of course) he immediately started saying he didn't like either of them very much but still hangs out with your good friend sometimes, and he sounds like he's on the verge of asking you out, but saying yes would threaten the relationship you have with his ex (his ex is kinda crazy, but in a good way), what would you say/do? ( I know, the question is kinda confusing...hee hee...)

Well, find out what your friend thinks about it, how she would feel about the situation, and if she would be uncomfortable then I think it'd be best to let this one go, after all you say you didn't think about him til after you heard he liked you, which isn't exactly a sign of spectacular things to come, and his treatment both towards and behind the back of his ex's isn't exactly a great sign about him either.

If he does ask you out and you are truely interested, you might consider telling his ex that your interested in dating him since they are not longer a couple. She might freak out on you or spend hours telling you all of his faults, but at least you would be dating him with a clear concience. Just because they were not "ment to be" does not mean you can't date him now that they have broken things off.
Just try to be gentle and respectful of her feelings when you tell her of your intentions.
Honestly is ALWAYS the best policy.

sounds like there's going to be too much carnal knowledge about this guy shared amongst you and your friends! Pass on him, you are simply intrigued.
