Nope unless her name is listed on the policy, it only covers the people listed on her policy!

She should be insured, but the insurance company may require her to be listed as a driver and pay a lot extra for letting a young person use her car. If there's an accident, your mom could see her rates skyrocket, or even lose her policy altogether.

Yes she is .I am a claims adjuster. Only a few states will exclude her. The coverage stays with the car as long as permission is given. It cannot be regulalry used by your daughter. If she is listed on your policy then your coverage would be secondary and provide coverage if your limits are higher and needed. Oh you might also want to tell her "she is only covered if the radio is off ,no cell phone and an adult driver in the car with her" HAHA

If your mother has insurance on her car, your daughter is at least 16 and is NOT excluded from the policy then YES, she is covered. Coverage follows the CAR, not the driver.

WOW! Half Yes and the other half NO! What do you make of this? My advice would be to call your insurance company and get it from the horses mouth- that way there won't be any "tears" down the road! If you know what I mean!!!!!!!!

Yes. Insurance always follows the vehicle, which means unless your daughter is specifically excluded from the policy, she is covered when driving that car-with whatever coverage is on that vehicle.

NO Flat out No... Unless she is added to your mothers policy. The policy owner is insured not the driver. You might see if she is covered under the policy your daughter is listed. Some companies allow this but ask first.

If she has your mother's permission she is covered. It's just like Cowboy Bill said.
