The offense was that ten years ago, he committed a sexual offense with his young daughter. He waited until we were several months into the best relationship that I have ever experienced. I NEVER suspected that he would be capable of that! Since then he has undergone intensive therapy. The therapist even welcomed my call (is that normal, but I checked him out. he is a reputable psychotherapist) and told me that this man has dealt effectively with the issues surrounding the behavior and he is ready to date. He is actually the best bf I had. But if I can't handle this, is there someone out there that will be able to deal with sexually offending ones child?

If you can deal with it, then it's ok for you. Personally, I'd get rid of him, and cry until I was over him, then move on.
It doesn't matter if he's better - his daughter may never be. She's probably had her whole view of men askewed by this, and that's not something that's easy to get over. More than anything, it demonstrates a lack of a conscience - most people think before they do something and consider if it will hurt someone else. He didn't, and it was his own child.
Do you expect him to be more considerate of you than he was of his own flesh and blood? Be careful with your heart..

Sorry, nope. I could not be with someone like that. Say down the road i had a baby with him and it turned out to be a girl and the temptation was there and the same thing happened all over again. I would hurt someone seriously if they ever touched my young child in a sexual manner. But i couldnt do it and the best wishes to you if you do.

i dont think i could date someone who had done that to their own daughter. i wouldnt care what the psychotherapist said, he still did it and your going think about that everyday your with him. dont settle just because he is the best bf you have ever had. there are better men out there, you just have to keep looking until u find the perfect one(someone who didnt sexually offend his daughter)

WOW, that is deep stuff. You should definately get yourself out of that relationship, you'd never be able to trust him with your children. #2 pedophilia is a sickness that they can't get rid of. He'll never be cured.HE HURT A CHILD IN THE WORST WAY.

Your in a tough position.... I couldn't handle it... I would never be able to trust him around a child of mine.. Or any of my family... I wouldn't even want to be around him myself.... There is no excuse for a man to abuse a child or a woman to abuse a child....NONE........ That child will never get over it.... Therapy or not... He is a child molester..... But you are the only one that can make the decision...... Good luck....I wouldn't want to be in your shoes....

OMG I am sorry but that guy is sick sick sick!!! Get rid of him ASAP...You want to have kids with him and have him do that crap to your children??? I am sorry but people like him will NEVER change..Run as far as you can and leave no forwarding address!!!!
