maybe you should distance yourself for alittle bit of time and then try just being friends again. or find someone new to crush on.

I am having that same problem trying to just be friends with someone after I thought it would be more. We have had some rough times working out the hurt and anger but we are ok again now. If you can't get past it though you may have to stop being friends with him too. I have tried to but I can't. You need to decide if his friendship is worth the pain of being near him or if you should stop contact all together.....You can't just stop liking someone like the other answer said it's not like a light switch you just can switch off when you want to. Believe me I wish it was right now too.........

Liking someone is complicated. I am still in love with my ex and it still hurts to know that i am not with him but on the other hand I am glad that he is still a huge part of my life. The way i got over my hurt was I didn't talk to him as much and if i did it was only to see what was going on and to see if he was ok.
Try to not call him, move anything that he has given you to a closet so that you don't see it, take everything that reminds you that you like him and put it away. that way you will not think about not having him. when you see him at school just say hi and walk away. and when you begin to like someone else you can talk to him about it and not feel awkward.
the best way to be a guys friend is to just be his friend. don't try to make your friendship with him more than what it seems.

just keep a mind set for him as a friend. you need to convince your sub concious brain to support you. You need to think and talk to him a s a friend. boys generally have a tendancy that if a girl gets too friendly they tend to take a step ahead, but being a boy i can tell you, if you start giving him hints about all these things, maybe you will be able to remove him from your mind as a lover and as a friend.
Now for some scolding, how can u just keep changing lovers???? are you a flirt or what? i would like to tell the boy to get away from you.... Just kidding baby, don't worry you will have him as a good friend...

Does he think you have a liking also-if so, you can keep aloof from him for a few days-with just a hi-bye attitude. At the same time, don't break off and then be regularly in touch. This will give him the hint and after that don't over-do ur friendship.

The problem is once friends cross that line and become intimate going back to being friends is difficult if not impossible. When you tell him you just want to be friends that will sound/feel like rejection.

I would distance yourself from that person. Don't completely stop talking to that person but dont hang out or talk to that person as much. OR start meeting new guys!!! Thats always fun :) Once you start to get over your guy friend and start having just "friend" feelings for him, you'll feel like you accomplished something even if it is something that small.

when u find the right match as ur true lover then slowly ur attraction towards ur friend will decrease. So stop thinking about him too much and start hunting!

Something that might help is if you start thinking of him as someone else's man. Then, with time, you will start seeing him in that light also.
Good luck

You probably need to break off all contact for a period of time.
You're not a lightswitch that you can just turn off and on.
