Can you help me name as many films you've seen or know of about the lives of real artists? If the title doesn't have the artist's name in it can you give us the name of the artist the film is about?
I've always wanted a list like this so that I can watch as many of the films as possible.

Like:

Pollack
Frida
The Wolf At The Door (about Paul Gauguin)
Vincent And Theo (about the brothers Van Gogh)

Thank you.

The Kirk Douglas film was called 'Lust For Life.' I've seen many of the bio-pics of artists over the years but I'm sure I've missed or forgotten just as many.

I have many...including some docs on art (artist interviews) such as "Art 21: Art in the 21st Century," How Art Made the World," "13 Days in the Life of Picasso" and " Who Gets to Call It Art?." Then other theatrical releases like "Basquiat, " "Modigliani: Montparnasse 19," "Agony and Ecstacy," "Girl in the Pearl Earring" "The Red Violin," "Portrait of Dorian Gray"

Also: "Jackson Pollock: Life and Death on Long Island"
