NO!!! THE GREAT WALL IS PART OF BEIJING, DO A LITTLE RESEARCH BEFORE YOU GO, AT LEAST...

No sorry, Shanghai is no where near the Great Wall of China. I know this because I have walked it myself. The wall is over 3,000 miles long, however Shanghai is south of the wall. The wall does actually end out at the ocean there though. The city you need to go to in order to see/climb the wall is Beijing(Peking Airport).

The wall was connected 221 - 206 B.C. Each dynasty added to the height, breadth, length, and elaborated the design mostly through forced labor.

It's truly amazing so if your able to go there, definitely worth the long journey to see this forgotten wonder of the world!

No. However, if you are thinking about seeing it, it would be worth the trip up north to Beijing. Shanghai though, has a lot to offer as well. So regardless of what you decide to do, a good time awaits you. Enjoy!
