It is a very warm, deep, clay like color called earth tone. The wall is right behind our kitchen table. Our ceiling in called linen white. It is a warm white. I am having a hard time figuring out what to put there partly because of the large space and partly because of the color. Thanks. : )

Try to find a couple of wood plate rails or racks that will display your dinnerware facing out. For an added burst of color, paint a wide horizontal stripe along the earth brown wall in a light terra cotta color at the level you install the plate rails as a backdrop. An alternative to the plate rails would be to paint the stripe ( about 14" wide and on the top and bottom of the wide stripe paint 1" wide stripes in a peach or apricot color which would harmonize well with the brown and terra cotta then hunt thrift and antique shops, flea markets and garage sales for one -of-a-kind plates to hang in a neat row along the center of the stripe. You could also hang family photos instead and double mat them in brown and tan or tan and peach and frame them in a wood that works well with your kitchen cabinets or your dining table.

Depending on the feeling you want the room to convey ...warm and cozy to energizing and earthy .... your complimentary colors can range from a sizzling burnt sienna.. an additional earthy color which would be a terra cotta... also a warm buttery soft yellow.. to add some puch to the room and really make it pop try picture frames or accessories in silvery sage. Good Luck !

I would go with some dark brown to black iron pieces. Maybe even go for that faux Italian look with the wraught iron. Anyway, that is what I would suggest.

You can use those brown metal or iron decorative wall pieces that you can find at Kirklands or other accessory stores.

Well, those are Fall colors....but to add a little splash...what about turquoise. There are many pretty shades and they go GREAT with brown.
But if you want to be traditional, burnt orange, avocado green, taupe.......

Landscapes or nature scenes/paintings would look awesome since they are of the same color palette.

You can't go wrong with black & white. Black adds a very classy look to a wall.
