I feel I need a change. On the other hand, although I don't like my current job, I know the routine and am rather comfortable there. I'm afraid to add the stress of a new job to everything else I'm going through. Might it help - or hurt?

I kept my old job for a long time after I got seperated, even though it was financially more difficult the routine and support of my co workers really helped my adjustment, I just finally got a new job about a month ago and the transition was very easy, much more so then going when I was an emotional wreck would have been.

Firstly, I want to say I'm sorry you're going through a difficult time with the divorce. If I were you, I would concentrate on keeping your present job during the divorce proceedings. Once that mess is done with, then you should look for another job. I hope my answer helps you. I wish you Good Luck.

I'd say stay with your job until you are done with the emotional thing and then if you still feel you need a change look for another job.

Right now, you have a steady income. A comfortable routine will probably be helpful right now.

Once you get everything settled, THEN you can consider looking for other employment.

Good luck!
