The advantages are that it your baby is in the wrong position ,like breach, it will be easier on you and your baby. Yet once you have a C-section they recommend that your other baby ,if you want another one, for that to be delivered by C-section. This is because they are worried about the old stitches breaking and opening the vagina. You can always talk to your doctor about the risks. I personally think that naturally is the way to go. That way you don't have to worry about the scar.

I don't know the benefits but I can tell you I had an emergency c-section with my son. it hurt when the meds wore off for like the first day or two. after that I was up and about. I was walking the morning after ( they make you) and getting around pretty good. It did hurt a bit to get in and out of bed for the first week or so but I healed up rather quickly and there are no lasting pains.
I guess I can say that the benefit for me was the fact that both my son and my self are alive and had they not done the c-section we wouldn't be.
If you have to have one just remember not to push yourself or do more than you should- rest and enjoy being a new mommy there's no better feeling in the world and that alone helps with the healing :)
Take care and best of luck to you!

You can find no benefits because there are none. There is NO reason for a Caesarian other than medical necessity, i.e. the baby is too large to fit through the birth canal. This is major, invasive abdominal surgery involving weeks of recovery whereas, after a vaginal birth, you can get up and walk to your room.
So why do some women have them? Convenience (inexcusable). They want to have the baby on a particular date or before an upcoming event. Fear of labor (unreasonable). They've heard too many horror stories about the "pain" of labor and are scared. Labor need not be painful, but the fear of pain tightens and tenses the very muscles needed for labor, which does cause pain.
You don't tell us why you asked the question, but I'll recommend a great book anyway: Grantly Dick-Read's "Childbirth Without Fear." It will change your life.

regular birth is better for your baby and more healtier. babies that are born through the vaigina swallow germs, bacteria and their mothers urnine and that jumpstarts the baby's immune system to fight deasese. the earlier a baby's immune system wrks and fights bacteria and gerns the better and healther the baby will be. babies in c section have their immune system working way later. so natural birth is better. just like breast feeding is healtheir becuase the mother has real nuiertriants that fromula doesnt becuse its more artifical.

It can ease what may have been a difficult delivery, but that is about it. It's an invasive procedure and shouldn't be opted for unless absolutely necessary.

It's easier and less painful during the procedure. It's less stressful for the child. But that's it.
