Kids should not be around christinity for many reasons. To teach out kids that tere are angels with wings and a mean devil and a god that sits on a throne is just bad for our children and unproductive.
Religion especially christinity and islam are extremist and both very hateful and vengeful religions.
Christians will say" God is great, he loves us all. children should know god."
The problem with that is that the bible is filled with godly violence and terrorist acts. There are qutotions in the bible that encourange sexual abuse, slavery, murdering towns and villages, stoning and killing people that commit adultery, people that work on sundays.
Just look it up for yourself. Ive posted the verses on here before.
For one I teach my children that God is just as real as Peter Pan and Mickey Mouse. I teach my kids science and facts. They are A+ Honor students and both studying medicine and and the youngest studying law. I raised them as athiests and now they are successful

it is natural for humans to worship a "God", we are spiritual beings> our hearts and minds are "wired" for God. God is so important to ourlives whether he exists or not, because we need faith to keep us going when tuff times come and to calm our anxiety about death. God can only enhance and make our lives more meaningful and richer. God gives us purpose, religion answers the questions: "who are we" why are we here?" "what is my purpose", without God life has NO meaning or purpose except to eat ,sleep, ****, and reproduce>

Right off the bat reading your question I thought YOU were the child in this case. Christianity has caused more human lives than any other religion, huh? I know Christians, especially Catholics, have a lot of kids but let's look at some population statistics before we say that. Typos happen but that's not where it ends "To teach ouT kids...qutotions" and I guess I'll end on your inconsistency in capitalizing God. Not that I'd expect you to capitalize the word as you do not want to acknowledge any God in existence. This has no real bearing on my point but when trying to sound scholarly and make a point you might want to watch what you're typing. =)
If you look at the fundamentals of Christianity it is not bad and what you're citing are the purely bad aspects of religion in the first place. Any religion is going to have its downfalls in the eyes of those that don't understand or are too ignorant to try to understand. Why don't you take a college level World Religions class and enlighten yourself? Hopefully your kids have to take it at their school so they may find something they would never be exposed to at home with someone shoving ignorance down their throats.
By the way - this is coming from an A+ Honor student that is also Catholic. How your kids' religion is relevant to their academic success I have no clue. Why don't you elighten us on that next. As your last sentence says "I raised them as atheists and now they are successful" (yup, no period at the end of that sentence for you) would lead me to think that you are under the impression atheists are more successful than those that practice religion. I'm curious to see where your basis for that is.

Christianity is not junk. Atheism and all other religions are. There are angels, there is a Devil and there is a God. If you actually KNEW the Bible, you would know that the things God allowed in the Old Testament, He doesn't allow in the New Testament. Christians basically follow the New Testament. Second, the Bible doesn't condone sexual abuse. 1THESSALONIANS: 4:4-6: " Each of you should learn to control his body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the heathen, who don't know God...No one should wrong his brother or take advantage of them." The "Christians" who are doing these evil acts obviuosly aren't Christians themselves. See, that's the problem with society. these so-called "Christians" who preach the Word but don't abide by it make all Christians, at least the real ones, look bad. Lastly, it's funny how you're an "Atheist" who disagrees with Christianity, yet you take the time to read the words of a God, in which you don't believe in. His words shouldn't bother you if you don't believe in them.

No Christianity isn't responsible for all the evils of the world. Satan is responsible, and he uses people who call themselves Christian to commit some horrible sins. Although you probably don't believe in satan, think about it............isn't it an amazingly good game plan to try to make it look as though the enemy (God and His people) are the ones doing wrong?
You obviously haven't had much contact with true Christians or you wouldn't feel the way you do. Every single night I pray for people like you.......that you'll find the peace you need, because you're obviously bitter people to be coming here and saying such things.

Wow lady you need to come down. Christianity in its essence is not hateful, Jesus Christ is probably the most peaceful human being on the face of the earth wheather you accept him as the son of God or not. And please dont throw this crap about your kids being genusis because they were raised athiest. Im a 4.0 college Veterinary student sitting in a Tufts dorm room as we speak, and the difference between me and your kids is that I actually have a set of spiritual doubt. Congratulations youve raised some smart kids, and the rest of their lives will be consumed by doubt and mistrust in everything that requires a little more then scientific data.

On what plant do you live on? The stories in the Bible are the Human condition. They are also stories of great love and triumph over mans inhumanity to man. I'm sorry that you feel so strongly about not letting you child not have a chance to know any religion. It won't matter to you now, but it might later.

succesfull does not mean if they are high in love for christ though What do you have against us christians we do not do the murdering who does all of the terrorist attaks? muslums because thier religon is to suicide thierselfs and supposivley go to heaven if they kill some one else in that suicide bombing and so I get all A's private school so it doesn't really matter and trust me if you have ANY question PLEASE e-mail me you look lost but I can help you find eternil wisdom even though I am not straight A+ student
