Robert: I agree, I am against PC too. Thank you for knowing about him. I think English as official language is a good Idea myself. Need to read about this guy, seems like an average American, like me.

I think English only is a great idea! What other country out there goes out of it's way to permit people to survive without speaking the customary or illegal language? Just imagine how much money this bilingual crap cost. There are very few common denominators holding together the people of the United States: English, our custom language is one of those few things that binds us together.

Years ago, Rocker got in trouble for speaking his mind. He was a pitcher in baseball and was in NYC on a subway and said he was sitting next to a bunch of crazy weirdos and this got the NY people all upset because only they can criticize their own people.

He's not a bad guy, but probably ignorant on how to speak in public. He's not much on the politically correct stuff that we have to live under. To tell the truth I have respect for those who don't just tow the PC line. It takes guts to say your mind.

Anyway, I heard about his new English Language campaign too. I saw him on TV and he said he's not against any other cultures and languages, he just thinks that everyone in this country (USA) should speak the national language, which is English.

Actually most Americans agree, but we're too chicken to say that in public in case the thought police and PC police are watching and listening. Ooooohhhh, I'm sooooo scared.....

I admire some of the things he has said. Some good common sense.
"A point I feel that is not focused on nearly enough, however, is the unique heritage and culture that has been established over the last several hundred years by these early American Immigrants."
A culture that has build this great Nation and keeps it strong.

I do believe one National Language has purpose.
I need to know more about his views.

Being a ball player must add to the people's opinion of him. And make him a subject of conversation. I am sure some find appeal here.

Thank You for the link---always nice to know who the players are.

Though I think English should be our official language, ROCKER is not the man to represent this cause.

He's lived in a ton of foriegn countries, many more than most people on this board, he's made good money and what not, he loves this country, and God bless him for showing it.

At least he takes a stand. Thats why the liberals hate him, they see his want to force Mexicans to assimilate as somehow racist.

If you don't believe me you just have to look at Scoop's answer below (which was posted after mine)- note how he calls Rocker a "racist."

He made some racist comments about blacks and was in general pretty racists about everything.quite awhile ago.
While I don't care for him I am behind the English as our official language initiative 100%

The reason half the world doesn't speak spanish is because english has become the leading language in business. Business is how you make money, Mexico/mexicans are really dragging their feet on this one....

I haven't heard much about him but English should be our official language. It should fall into the "no s hit" category.

Xenophobic retard. He's turned his 15 minutes of fame and two decent seasons as a relief pitcher into a white-power campaign. This isn't about being anti-PC, this is about believe a complete and total racist.

If we ignore this idiot, hopefully he'll just go away.
